Fish cravings

Well, you might as well know that I cracked and opened up the package of Swedish Fish.  Not for fuel, just for eating.  Muahaha, so worth it!  After all, my sister Julia is sending gummy bears and those are for running purposes only.

Eating on my fish has been so yummy, but lately I've felt over-sugared, and bleh.  Maybe it's because I eat about 2 or 3 fishies almost every time I go into my room.  Fuel for cleaning the house, people!  So, I decided to go off sweets for this week.  I admit, this afternoon I've had to remind myself not to eat any Swedish Fish, and I resisted making chocolate chip cookies tonight even though I was cold and hot, melty, gooey cookies sounded so good!

Here's a look at workouts for this past week:
Monday: We babysit the kids for a couple days, so we went on a 2 mile walk.
Tuesday: 2.4 mile run, and another mile walk with the kids.
Wednesday: 2.5 mile run.
Thursday: 3.1 mile bike ride
Friday: 2.44 mile run
Today: 3.5 mile run

Mileage is still low, but I'm just so happy to be out there building it back up again!  Loved this evening's run of a 3.5 miler.  Thankfully, my legs are starting to feel stronger on the hills.  I think I really need to do more biking like I did when we were training for our 10k, because it really helps build muscle and makes running the hills easier.  I've gotten a day or two behind on the Push-up Challenge, but I'm going to catch up this week!

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend!

  1. Too funny that you opened the Fish! I have been wondering if biking would help my running. But biking is SO HARD for me. :)

    Nice week of workouts!

  2. I am thrilled you have been running so much! You have inspired me to really start getting it done again. I want to run everyday, even if it is just a few miles here and there, it really does add up.

YAY for swedish fish, I can't even have that stuff in my house and the stuff to make chocolate chip cookies....FORGET IT....I WOULD EAT THE DOUGH lol :)

  3. You have crazy willpower if you can resist swedish fish, those are too yummy!
Great week for exercise, you're really building back up that mileage!

  4. yay for your running!! I am excited for you. I did not realize biking could help you for strength on hills? I really need to take up seems like a good break from running but still an awesome workout!

I have totally been eating too many sweets the point where I have not even been craving dessert...and I ALWAYS crave dessert. haha!

I cant believe you resisted cookies though...they are my weakness :)

    have a good night!

  5. Perfect way to build up a base! I like biking too for the quad strength. I think you're totally right about being able to do hills better. And I LOVE swedish fish!

  6. Good to know about the bike, guess I'll do it more. Thanks for all your comments and support! I totally need it this week. :)

  7. I know sometimes I feel like I need to do the no sugar thing too. I will get overloaded and then just feel plain sick.

PS I think I may be one of the few people who don't like Swedish fish! I know, I am weird!

  8. I am a sugar fiend and have been cutting back. It is day 5 and still hard, but I'm getting better! I think my skin is benefitting as well!

Hope you have a great week Lindsey!

  9. you totally tricked me on the name of this post! i was like... oh me too! i just ate some salmon! ha, swedish fish... even better. ;)

  10. Oh I totally know what you mean about the yuck sugar feeling....bad stuff!
